Kayla & Ben | Real Weddings at Bachilton Barn
How did you two meet?
On a school ski trip to Italy back in 2014 when we were just 14 and 15 years old.
What was it that made you choose Bachilton Barn?
From the minute we were engaged we had always loved the idea of getting married in a Barn venue, the fact we had full creative freedom with Bachilton was what really sold it to us. The amount of space to play with paired with the fact we could have our close friends and family staying on site with us was all we could've dreamed of.
What was important to you when planning your wedding?
The space and communication were two big factors for us. We attended two open days just to visualise the space so we could see our creative vision come to life for our wedding weekend. The communication across social media and emails to us personally was exceptional. There was never a time when we felt we were waiting for a response, everything was so efficient and nothing was ever too much of an ask.
Tell us about your big day! What was your favourite part?
Our day went literally perfectly! It was more than we could've ever dreamed about. Our favourite part was the ceremony and getting to share our love story with all of our wonderful friends and family. Kayleigh was incredible at coordinating the ceremony, ever so calm and collected throughout the whole thing and ensured that everything ran smoothly and on time. As a bride, I could fully relax and that was so incredibly important to us. So we can't thank the Bachilton team enough for this. It's also worth noting that the dancefloor was not empty at any stage of the evening. The Rox Band kept the party going all night and our guests haven't stopped talking about how much fun and how high the energy was! A real highlight for us as Bride and Groom! <3
What tips and tricks would you give to other couples planning their wedding?
Plan ahead to ensure things don't get on top of you. Enjoy every second of the planning and making all of the little decisions. It may seem daunting at the time but trust me, you'll miss it all when it's over! On the actual wedding day - aim to be as present as possible, soak it all in. Speak with all of your lovely guests but don't leave your new husband/wife's side. Take small moments of time just to be together in the moment and look at the wonderful people who are there to celebrate YOU!
How are you enjoying married life?
We are loving life. Very much in that newlywed bubble. We have started to think about planning our honeymoon which will hopefully happen in September 2026 for our 1 year anniversary which is all very exciting. We have mainly just been enjoying our new roles as husband and wife and continuing to support each other every day!
