Meet the Award-Winning Team at Bachilton

Kayleigh Deans

Kayleigh is our Bachilton Manager. She has been in the events industry since 2012! In 2024 Kayleigh won ‘Wedding Coordinator of the Year’ at the Scottish Wedding Awards.

Kayleigh does all the daily running and organisation of weddings and accommodation at Bachilton, and also assists in the running of the business. Her top priority is making sure all guests, suppliers and her team are relaxed and looked after. She can either be found giving show rounds, running weddings or plotting the next new project at Bachilton!

Fun Fact: Kayleigh absolutely loves a tablescape, and being the planner of her friend group. She will jump on any opportunity to snazz up a table, whether it’s an event or just Sunday Dinner.

Ellie Stott

Ellie is our Wedding and Events Coordinator who is the newest member of the team. 

Ellie is a key part of our team! Whether she's making sure the wedding days go smoothly, showing couples round the venue, or meticulously planning weddings and events in the office, Ellie is dedicated to making every celebration unforgettable.

Fun Fact: Ellie is super organised and loves to keep our wedding store in order!

James England

James is our Founder and CEO.  He is the 3rd generation of the England family to work on Bachilton Farm, and founded Bachilton Barn in 2013 after running the building as a conference centre since 2001. 

James can usually be found overseeing the development of the venue, driving change at the farm and curbing Kayleigh & Ellie’s endless ideas. Throughout the summer, you can usually find James getting his horses ready for eventing competitions.

Kevin

Kevin is our Grounds & Maintainence Manager. He has been with Bachilton since 2018!

Kevin is the reason our venue gardens are always looking gorgeous! He is continually landscaping, weeding and pruning for the perfect wedding backdrop. In the summer, you can usually find him riding his lawnmower around the pond. 

Jess Smith

Jess is the marketing manager at Bachilton Barn. She has been part of the crew since 2018 and can often be found in the venue like a friendly ghost with a camera, catching all the little moments no one notices. She’s usually tucked behind the scenes, stitching those moments into content that feels exactly like the weddings she loves.

Anne & Karolina

Anne & Karolina are our Venue and Accommodation Assistants. They are our behind the scenes rockstars, keeping the venue, yurts and cottages looking absolutely amazing. 

Ruby & Rosie

These are our two resident pups, and they take their roles as Head of Mischief very seriously! Ruby joined the family in 2017 and Rosie joined in Summer of 2023. 

Fun Fact: These two love to greet everyone in the office, ready for belly rubs.
